One day, while hiking with my camera in the hills of Griffith Park in California, I spotted the LA skyline in the distance. It was early in the morning and the buildings had a bank of rolling clouds behind them. I thought to myself: "this will be cool to make into a a painting of a futuristic city, with a dragon in the forground". I used the photos I had taken as reference material for the illustration. It was painted using Adobe Photoshop.
